Israeli occupation forces seize two tents in the south of the West Bank

HEBRON, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today seized two tents in Masafer Yatta, in the south of the West Bank, according to a local activist.

Coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committees in Masafer Yatta, Fouad al-Amour, said that Israeli forces broke into al-Dirat village, one of the hamlets making up Masafer Yatta, and seized a residential tent in addition to another one from an area close to Susiya village.

He added that the soldiers took photos of the houses in Birin community, raising concerns about an imminent displacement.

Recently, Israel’s top court gave the army the green light to forcibly expel some 1,300 Palestinians living in 12 villages or hamlets making up the Masafer Yatta area, which relies heavily on animal husbandry as the main source of livelihood, marking one of the largest expulsions carried out by the State of Israel in recent decades.
