RAMALLAH, Wednesday, July 20, 2022 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces today and last night detained at least 10 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied territories, according to local and Palestinian security sources.

They said that Israeli forces arrested three former prisoners and ransacked the homes of their families in Dura city, south of Hebron.

One of the former prisoners was identified as Nayef Rjoub, a lawmaker and a former Religious Affairs Minister, who was released earlier this year after spending eight months in jail. He had served a total of 13 years in Israeli imprisonment, mostly under administrative detention.

Elsewhere in the southern West Bank, soldiers detained four Palestinians, including a 48-year-old father and his son, from Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem.

During ensuing confrontations, the soldiers opened fire toward local young men protesting the raid, seriously injuring one with a live round.

In the Jerusalem district, the sources confirmed a raid in Abu Dis town, east of the city, resulting in the4 arrest of a former prisoner.

Meanwhile, soldiers stationed along Gaza’s frontier, east of Jabalya town, detained last night two people near the border fence.
