RAMALLAH, May, 05, 2008, (WAFA)-Head of the PLO Negotiations Affairs Department Saeb Ereikat described on Monday the meeting between President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli PM Ehud Olmert as serious and depth.

In a press conference in Ramallah, Ereikat said following the end of the meeting in Jerusalem that it focused on final status issues.

Ereikat added that President raised the issue of settlement activity and that the Palestinian side confirmed the existence of obligations on the Israeli side regarding the settlement activities as stated in the Road Map plan, including natural growth and the removal of settlement outposts, opened closed offices in Jerusalem, the prisoners and the deportees.
