GAZA, April 13, 2026 (WAFA) – One Palestinian was killed and several others were injured, some critically, on Monday evening after Israeli forces opened fire following a strike by a reconnaissance drone targeting a café near Dawood Tower in central Gaza City.
The casualties were transported to the Palestine Red Crescent Society Hospital. Injuries were also reported in the vicinity of the market in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources at the Kuwait Field Hospital confirmed that one person was killed and several others were injured, with one of the wounded reported to be in critical condition.
Earlier in the evening, two Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire in the neighborhoods of Shujaiyya and Zeitoun, east of Gaza City.
In a related development, medical sources in the Gaza Strip said the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression has risen to 72,333 people, with 172,202 others injured since October 7, 2023.
The sources added that thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or lying in the streets, as rescue teams face major difficulties reaching them.
