BEIJING, April 14, 2026 (WAFA) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stated that Israel is the only country violating international law in the Middle East.
In a press statement today, Tuesday, during his current visit to the People's Republic of China, he affirmed that his country will continue to stand on the right side of history and with what it considers just, legitimate, and legal.
He continued, "Today, international law is being eroded, and those who raise their voices against countries that violate international law are threatened."
The Spanish Prime Minister added, "We are being threatened because we raise our voices against governments that violate international law."
He continued, "We support justice and the principle that there should be no impunity for those who commit genocide, as we are witnessing in Gaza, and we hope it will not be repeated in Lebanon."
He concluded, "We must rebuild the international system on the basis of legitimacy, not on the basis of impunity."
Sanchez met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing today, where the two leaders pledged to strengthen cooperation and maintain global peace and development.
