Mubarak Holds Talks with Solana concerning Rafah Crossing
BETHLEHEM, February 4, 2008, (WAFA)- Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak conducted Sunday talks with Javier Solana High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy in the European Union in Cairo concerning Rafah crossing issue.
In a joint press release with the Secretary-General of the Arab states league Amr Moussa Solana said that the return of the European Union observers so as to supervise Rafah crossing requires going back to 2005 agreement.
He added that since 2005 we have been giving Rafah crossing a high and special concern. We are ready to resume work in the crossing on the basis of 2005 agreement in case it was agreed upon. Currently, we are tackling the possibility of reaching agreement in this regard.
