Woman Dies Whiel Awaiting for Israeli Approval to Leave Gaza
GAZA, November 22, 2007 (WAFA) - A woman died Thursday in Gaza while awaiting approval to travel abroad for medical treatment, medical sources said.
The sources said laila Elewa 51, suffered from cancer and needed medical treatment which is unavailable in Gaza.
Scores of people died in Gaza while waiting for permissions to enter Israel for medical treatment only in one month.
Israel is placing a tight siege on the Gaza Strip, closing all crossings linking it with the outside world, since Hamas controlled the Gaza Strip after its coup.
