Ferwana: 56.3% of 431Prisoners, Intended to be Released, Supposed be Freed 2008
RAMALLAH, November 21, 2007, (WAFA)- Head of Statistics Department in Ministry of Prisoners’ Affairs Abdel Naser Ferwana asserted Wednesday that the prisoners Israel intends to release were arrested during al-Aqsa Intifada 2000 and around 56% of which (431) are supposed to be released the coming year 2008.
Ferwana added that 243 prisoners are supposed to be released in 2008, 62 to be released in 2009, 36 in 2010; they only need 3 years to end their terms. 19 prisoners are supposed to be released in 2011; they need 4 years to end terms. 24 prisoners to be released 2012; they only need 5 years.
“18 prisoners are to be released in 2013; 6 years are left, 15 prisoners to be released in 2014; 7 years are left, 10 prisoners to be released in 2015; 8 years are left, 4 prisoners to be released in 2011; 9 years are left", he said.
Worthily saying, isreali jails’ authority decided to free a number of prisoners as a gesture of good well to President Mahmoud Abbas ahead the international summit of Annapolis.
