Central Committee of Fatah Movement Stresses Palestinian National Inalienable Rights
RAMALLAH, November 19, 2007, (WAFA)- Central Committee of Fatah movement stressed Monday the Palestinian national Inalienable rights, reiterating the necessity of providing Annapolis Summit with terms for success.
Headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, the committee in its meeting in Ramallah city, first sent warm greetings to the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and allover the Occupied Palestinian Territories OPT for the national stance the show in the third anniversary of Yasser Arafat’s death.
“Such a massive and comprehensive gathering of Gaza Strip citizens was just a mass referendum for the Palestinian legitimacyâ€, President Abbas said in the beginning of the meeting.
The central committee tackled the political, social and economic situation in Gaza Strip due to the Israeli siege. The committee as well heard a report concerning the international summit of Annapolis and the Israeli-Palestinian meetings.
The committee as well stressed the necessity of having a unified Arab stance toward the said summit and the issues that are to be agreed upon before and ahead the summit.
The committee stressed the significance that Syria and Lebanon to join the summit and to enlist Golan and Shabaa issues in the summit agenda so as to guarantee the ultimate Israeli withdrawal from OPT which was occupied in 1967, establishing an independent Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital.
