TAP Accuses Israeli Government of Foiling Annapolis Conference
CAIRO, November 19, 2007 (WAFA)-The Transitional Arab Parliament(TAP) said that the pre-condition sit by Israeli government to recognize Israel as a Jewish state would foil the Annapolis conference and lead to more deterioration in the region.
In a statement, the Parliament called on the USA and effective states to reject Israel's maneuvers and compel it to meet the international legitimacy resolutions.
"Israel must realize that Peace with Arab states could not be achieved unless Israel withdraws to 1967 borders and restoring the rights of the Palestinian people as well as Jerusalem," said the statement.
The Parliament stressed that the Arab Peace Initiative is the basis of comprehensive and just peace in the region.
