Minister of Health Calls for Saving Life of PLC Speaker in Israeli Prison
GAZA, April 10, 2007, (WAFA)- Minister of Health, Radwan al-Akhras, called on the World Health Organization (WHA) and international HR organizations to immediately intervene for allowing a Palestinian medical team to visit the patient Speaker of the PLC, Aziz Dwaik, in an Israeli prison.
In a statement, to WAFA on Tuesday, al-Akhras said that Dwaik suffers health deterioration and asserted on the necessity for his immediate release to save his life.
He said that the PLC Speaker and other Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, suffer physical and psychological deterioration because of the practices of Israeli jailers. He held Israel responsible for any risk on the life of Dwaik.
Palestinian HR organizations reported, recently, that Dr. Dwaik suffers health troubles in Majidu Prison, north of Israel.
