RAMALLAH, April 8, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas expressed Palestine’s solidarity with the Lebanese people and full support for Lebanon’s security, stability, and sovereignty during a phone call with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.

During the call, President Abbas reaffirmed Palestine’s full solidarity with Lebanon and its support for any measures the country takes to protect the security and stability of its people and safeguard its sovereignty.

The President emphasized that the Palestinian people have not and will not forget Lebanon’s honorable positions in supporting their legitimate rights to freedom and independence.

For his part, President Aoun thanked President Abbas for his supportive stance toward Lebanon and its people, emphasizing Lebanon’s commitment to strengthening the brotherly bilateral relations between the two peoples and countries.
