Israeli forces uproot dozens of olive trees near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, April 9, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation bulldozers uprooted dozens of olive trees in the town of Tuqu', southeast of Bethlehem, on Thursday.

Tuqu' Mayor Muhammad al-Badan told WAFA that the bulldozers uprooted dozens of olive trees in the al-Buq'a area at the western entrance to the town, specifically on land surrounding the military tower located there. The land belongs to residents of the town of Sa'ir, north of Hebron.

Al-Badan noted that the occupation's attacks have continued recently, the latest occurring a few days ago when work began on completing the colonial road, starting from the "Tuqu' A" settlement and extending to the al-Bariya area to the east, a distance of approximately 10 kilometers.
