GAZA, April 9, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 72,317 and 172,158 others were wounded since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023.
The sources reported that Gaza Strip hospitals received two slain people and 21 wounded others in the past 24 hours.
They indicated that the total number of slain people since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 738, and the total number of wounded to 2,036, while 759 bodies have been recovered.
The same sources explained that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them so far.
