Israeli forces attack farmers by teargas near Bethlehem

 

BETHLEHEM, Friday, February 08, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces attacked by teargas Palestinian farmers and activists - causing them to suffer suffocation - in the village of Beit Fajjar, to the south of Bethlehem in the West Bank, according to local sources.

Hamad Taqatqa, a local activist, told WAFA that Israeli soldiers and settlers assaulted farmers and anti-settlement activists who were planting trees in the village. The soldiers fired teargas canisters at them, causing them to suffocate from gas inhalation.

No further details were available regarding the pretext or reason for the teargas attack.
