GAZA, September 8, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli strikes on Tuesday killed a Palestinian and injured 15 others across the genocide-stricken Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

Medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Strip said that the body of a slain Palestinian and 11 casualties, including cases in critical condition, were admitted to the hospital following an Israeli drone strike that targeted a tent sheltering displaced people in the refugee camp.

Medical sources at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis in the southern Strip also said that two casualties were admitted to the hospital in the aftermath of an Israeli drone strike that targeted a house, south of the city.

Meanwhile, sources at Al-Shifa Hospital in the city of Gaza said that two casualties were rushed to the hospital in the wake of an Israeli drone strike that targeted the rooftop of a house in the vicinity of Sheikh Radwan Cemetery, northwest of the city.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since 7 October 2023, killing 73,662 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 174,627 others. It has destroyed 90% of the Strip’s infrastructure, with the cost of Gaza reconstruction estimated at $70 billion.

Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement went into effect on October 11, 2025, Israel has killed 1,355 Palestinians and injured 4,516 others. The bodies of 827 slain Palestinians have been recovered during the same period.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
