TULKARM, September 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Tuesday morning ordered residents of several homes opposite Tulkarm refugee camp to evacuate their properties, citing planned demolition work in the area.

Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces instructed residents of the targeted homes to leave immediately and remain outside until 5 p.m., while keeping the windows open to facilitate the planned explosions.

The targeted area extends from the homes opposite the camp and surrounding its northern entrance to the Return Center, as well as the area along Nablus Street near al-Da'ma Junction on the side of Dhinnaba suburb.

Tulkarm refugee camp has been subjected to Israeli aggression for the 590th consecutive day amid a tight siege and ongoing military measures, including the forced displacement of residents, the seizure of their homes and their conversion into military barracks, alongside daily gunfire and the firing of illumination grenades.

Israeli forces have also prevented displaced camp residents from returning to their homes, maintaining a military presence in the area and closing the camp’s entrances with earth mounds.
