RAMALLAH, September 8, 2026 (WAFA) – President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas strongly condemned the attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which struck cities and civilian and economic facilities and injured dozens of civilians, including women and children.
President Abbas described the attacks as a dangerous and condemnable escalation and a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security and stability, as well as a direct threat to the lives of civilians and civilian infrastructure. He called for an immediate halt to such reckless acts, which only serve to fuel further tension and chaos in the region.
The President affirmed that the State of Palestine stands firmly with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, and expressed full solidarity with it in confronting anything that threatens its security, sovereignty and territorial integrity. He categorically rejected any attempt to undermine the Kingdom’s security and stability.
He stressed that targeting civilian and economic facilities and terrorizing civilians cannot be justified under any pretext and are incompatible with international law and humanitarian principles and values. He warned of the dangers of continued escalation and the widening of the conflict, which threatens the security of the entire region, and called for prioritizing dialogue as the basis for resolving the region’s crises and ending its wars.
President Abbas expressed his solidarity with Saudi Arabia and wished those injured a speedy recovery, and the Kingdom and its people continued security, stability and prosperity.
