RAMALLAH, February 21, 2016 (WAFA)- A cold front is expected to hit the region on Sunday, with a further drop in temperatures. Heavy rain showers, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms and hail, are expected over different areas, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department.
Winds are southwesterly to northwesterly and active, with choppy sea waves.
Temperatures are anticipated to further drop on Monday, as the region remains under the affect of the cold front, becoming cloudy and cold. Heavy rains, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms and hail showers, are also expected.
The weather Department warned of the possibility of flooding in low areas, in addition to low visibility, strong winds, and slippery roads due to hail fall.
Temperatures are expected to rise on Tuesday, yet remaining relatively cold, with possible scattered rain showers over different areas. A further rise in temperature is expected on Wednesday, accompanied by partially cloudy to clear skies.
