RAMALLAH, July 22, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday deployed heavy military reinforcements to the western neighborhood of Tulkarem, with a particular concentration along Qaqoun Street, amid a large-scale military presence.
According to WAFA’s correspondent, heavily armed soldiers blocked the movement of residents and vehicles, preventing them from passing through and threatening them at gunpoint.
Troops raided several commercial shops, detaining shop owners and conducting on-the-spot interrogations, while an Israeli reconnaissance drone hovered overhead, heightening fears among local residents.
The escalation comes as the city and its refugee camps endure ongoing Israeli aggression for the 177th consecutive day. Tulkarem and Nur Shams camps remain under strict military siege, with forces continuing home demolitions and deliberately setting fires to residential buildings, deepening the humanitarian crisis in the area.
