Settlers begin establishing infrastructure for outpost southeast of Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, August 30, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists today began establishing infrastructure for a settlement outpost established some time ago in the village of al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem.

Head of the al-Minya Village Council Ahmad Kawazbeh told WAFA that work to establish infrastructure for the outpost in the al-Qarn area east of the village is proceeding at a rapid pace, with the land being leveled as part of a policy of creating facts on the ground aimed at expanding the outpost and turning it into a settlement.

He added that colonists' attacks against residents of al-Minya are continuing, including attacks on citizens' homes and vehicles, attempts to steal their livestock, and persistent disturbances during nighttime hours.
