HEBRON, August 29, 2026 (WAFA) — A foreign activist and several Palestinians were injured on Saturday evening after Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, assaulted Palestinians in Khirbet Khallet al-Hummus, southeast of Yatta, south of Hebron.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that armed colonists from the illegal Susya colony, built on Palestinian land in Masafer Yatta, attacked Palestinians in the area and beat them, causing injuries and bruises. A foreign activist also suffered breathing difficulties after a colonist sprayed pepper spray in his face. The injured were treated at the scene.

In a separate incident, colonists abducted a foreign activist from the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta and took him to an outpost established on Palestinian land in the village. Israeli police subsequently detained the activist and took him to an undisclosed location.
