GAZA, August 29, 2026 (WAFA) — A Palestinian was killed and another was injured on Saturday evening after Israeli aircraft struck a group of Palestinians in the al-Amal neighborhood, west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Since the ceasefire in Gaza took effect on October 11, 2025, around 1,313 Palestinians have been killed and more than 4,361 injured, while the bodies of 815 Palestinians have been recovered from under the rubble.
Since the start of Israel’s military offensive on Gaza on October 7, 2023, 73,449 Palestinians have been killed and 174,472 injured. Around 90% of civilian infrastructure has been destroyed, while the United Nations has estimated reconstruction costs at approximately $70 billion.
