HEBRON, November 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained a Palestinian man on Friday following an attack by Israeli colonists in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.
Local sources told WAFA that a group of colonists released their livestock into Palestinian-owned fields and among fruit-bearing trees in the Hawara area, east of Yatta.
Local Palestinian Khalil Mahmoud al-Hamamdeh and his son Omar attempted to confront the colonists, before Israeli forces stormed the area and detained Khalil.
In Hebron city, Israeli forces raided the Jabal Johar and Jabal al-Rahma neighborhoods, stormed two homes and searched them, ransacking their contents before converting one of the houses into a military barracks.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces attacked Palestinian residents and merchants at the weekly livestock market in the southern part of Hebron city, firing toxic tear gas canisters at them in an attempt to disperse the crowd.
