HEBRON, November 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained six Palestinians on Thursday following an attack by Israeli colonists on shepherds in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron.
Israeli colonists also attacked a besieged Palestinian home south of Yatta and threw chemical substances at it under the protection of Israeli forces.
Activist Osama Makhameh told WAFA that a group of armed colonists attacked shepherds in the Khirbet Khshm al-Daraj area in the Yatta wilderness and detained several of them for hours before Israeli forces detained six Palestinians.
He added that Israeli forces seized a vehicle, an agricultural tractor and a water tanker belonging to a local Palestinian. They also raided a home, briefly detained several women and confiscated 11 mobile phones.
In Wadi al-Rakhim, south of Yatta, colonists attacked a home accommodating 11 family members that has been under siege by Israeli forces and colonist groups for more than a month.
The attackers threw balloons containing foul-smelling chemical substances toward the house's windows, causing panic among family members and forcing them to gather in a single room. No injuries were reported.
The family has been prevented from leaving the house for a month, while access to the property and the delivery of humanitarian assistance have also been restricted, except through difficult and lengthy coordination procedures.
