HEBRON, November 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Thursday forcibly displaced several Palestinian families from their homes in the southern part of Hebron city and converted the building into military posts.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces raided the Abu Sneineh neighborhood in southern Hebron, stormed a residential building and forced its residents to leave before turning it into a military outpost.
Kefah Abu Sneineh, one of the residents, told WAFA that Israeli forces forced families living in the six-story building to leave. The building houses approximately 50 people, including women, children, patients and elderly people, who were left without shelter.
He said the forces gave them less than five minutes to collect some of their belongings before ordering them out.
In the Jaber neighborhood, Israeli forces also forcibly evicted Majed Jaber and his family of ten from their home and converted it into a military barracks.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces have intensified restrictions and military measures against Palestinian citizens across Hebron.
The escalation comes ahead of the expected arrival of Israeli settlers to the Ibrahimi Mosque and Hebron's Old City to mark the Jewish celebration known as "Shabbat Sarah." Thousands of settlers travel from across the occupied Palestinian territories to take part in religious rituals and celebrations, which are often accompanied by violent attacks against Palestinian civilians and their property.
