HEBRON, November 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces tightened their military measures and closures in the Old City of Hebron on Friday evening.
Activist Aref Jaber, a resident of the Jaber neighborhood adjacent to the Ibrahimi Mosque, said that Israeli occupation forces closed several neighborhoods in the Old City, including Jaber, Salaymeh, Wadi al-Nasara, Wadi al-Hussein, and Tel Rumeida, among others.
He added that Israeli forces reinforced their deployment throughout the Old City and at military checkpoints between neighborhoods, preventing residents from reaching or leaving their homes under the pretext of Jewish holidays and the influx of colonists to the Ibrahimi Mosque.
For years, the Old City has been under a suffocating siege, further exacerbating the suffering of its Palestinian residents, who are only allowed by Israeli occupation forces to enter and leave their homes during limited hours.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces raided the home of Adel al-Saeed in the closed-off area of Tel Rumeida, while colonists conducted provocative tours through the neighborhoods of Hebron’s Old City and around residents’ homes.
