JERUSALEM, February 20, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Saturday continued to close and ban Palestinian locals’ movement through Jaba’ Israeli military checkpoint to the northeast of Jerusalem, for the second consecutive day.
The Palestinian Liaison Office informed WAFA that Israeli military forces continued to almost entirely close the checkpoint before Palestinians’ movement.
Palestinian locals have been taking alternative roads to reach Ramallah, including the DCO checkpoint, in northern al-Bireh in the Ramallah district.
The Palestinian Liaison office said that the Israeli authorities informed them the closure on Jaba’ checkpoint would be lifted on Sunday, without providing any reasons behind the closure.
