JERUSALEM, February 15, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli police last night shot dead two Palestinians outside the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, after they allegedly attempted to carry out a gunfire and stabbing attack on Israeli policemen, according to local sources.
The two killed Palestinians were identified as Mansour Shawamreh and Amar Mohammad Amr, both from the village of al-Qibya, northwest of Ramallah.
WAFA correspondent said Israeli police left Shawamreh and Amr to bleed on the ground for some time after being shot, without providing them with first aid. The two then succumbed to their wounds and died within a short while.
This brings up the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli troops in the occupied Palestinian territories during the past 24 hours to six, including four minors.
According to the Ministry of Health, 177 Palestinians have been killed since the beginning of unrest in the occupied Palestinian territories in early October 2015. Over 15,000 others have reportedly been injured.
