Israeli Forces Detain Seven Palestinian in West Bank

BETHLEHEM, February 14, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces predawn Sunday detained seven Palestinians from across the West Bank districts, according to security sources.

Armed Israeli soldiers detained five Palestinians in the Bethlehem area. Locals Salem al-Masri, 22, and Ammar Hajajreh, 35, were detained in Dheisheh Refugee Camp to the south, whereas Saddam ‘Ebiyat, 23, was detained in al-‘Ebiyat area to the east.

Meanwhile, locals Rezq W. Thawabteh, 18, and Ez-Eldin S. Thawabteh, 18, were detained in the town of Beit Fajjar to the south of the city of Bethlehem.

Clashes reportedly erupted between soldiers and Palestinian youths in Dheisheh camp; Soldiers used tear gas canisters and stun grenades against locals. However, no injuries were reported.

Forces also detained Mohammed Bani Odeh, a local from Jenin’s village of Tamoun, as he attempted to cross the Israeli military checkpoint of Za’atara to the south of Nablus.

In the meantime, local Wa’el al-Sha’er, 19, was detained after forces raided and searched his family’s home in the town of Araba to the southwest of Jenin.
