Israeli Forces Shot, Injure Three Palestinians during Jerusalem Village Raid

JERUSALEM, February 11, 2016 (WAFA) - Israeli forces Thursday shot and injured three Palestinians during a raid into Beit Duqqu village, northwest of Jerusalem, in the central West Bank, said a local activist.

Israeli forces raided the central West Bank village, triggering clashes with local youths.

Forces fired tear gas canisters and live rounds, hitting and injuring three local youths reportedly in their lower extremities. They were evacuated to a nearby hospital and their condition was described as stable.

During the raid, forces detained at least two other Palestinians, 17 and 18.

Deploring the raid, Sa‘id Yaqin, a local activist, said that the villagers are dismayed as a result of the raid and other violations, which according to him, are committed “based on a programmed Israeli policy.”

He noted that the Israeli forces had been targeting the village with detention and search raids setting up flying checkpoint at its entrance for the last four months.
