Israeli Forces Detain Ten Palestinians from West Bank

JENIN, February 11, 2016 (WAFA) - Israeli forces overnight detained ten Palestinians, including a minor, during predawn raids across Jenin, Hebron and Nablus districts, said security sources.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, Israeli forces detained six Palestinians, including a minor, during raids into Qabatiya town, south of the city.

The detainees were identified as Mahmoud, 17, and Muhammad Kamil, ‘Alaa’-Iddin, 28, and Durgham Zakarneh, 18, ‘Alaa’-‘Iddin Hathnawi, 18, and Ahmad Lubani, 18.

The predawn detention raids came after Israeli forces blockaded the town for several days in a row after three residents carried out a fatal stabbing and gun attack that claimed the life of an Israeli female soldier and wounded another in Jerusalem.

Meanwhile in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, forces detained three Palestinians during predawn raids into al-Fawwar refugee camp and Khallet al-Mayyeh locality.

Forces detained Ramadan at-Tawil, 28, after breaking into and ransacking his house in a Hebron city neighborhood.

They also detained Bassam Ramadan during a predawn raid into al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of the city.

Another Palestinian identified as Seif Makhamra, 18, was detained from the Yatta locality of Khallit al-Mayyeh. 

In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, forces stormed several houses and detained a Palestinian from Bit Iba village, south of the city.

The detainee was identified as Raef ‘Aqel. During the raid, forces stormed and ransacked the family houses of Ibrahim, ‘Aqil and Hammud Sama‘na and al-Mu‘tasem-Billah Joudeh.

They physically assaulted al-Mu‘tasem-Billah’s brother, ‘Abdul-Karim.
