RAMALLAH, May 21, 2015 (WAFA) –
At least nine Palestinians were arrested by the Israeli army during predawn
raids carried out Wednesday evening and Thursday morning in the West Bank
districts of Jenin, Nablus and Hebron, according to security sources.
In Jenin, army forces broke
into the village of Deir Abu De’if, east of the city, and arrested four local
residents, identified as Anas Yasin, Fardi Yasin and Mohammad Farhan Saadi.
Army also stormed nearby
Qabatia, where they arrested Mohammad Ahmad Nazzal. The army also stormed Jenin
refugee camp and arrested Abed Jadoun.
Meanwhile, an Israeli army
force stormed the village of Asira el-Shamaliya, north of Nablus, and arrested
two local residents. They were identified as Mfadda Sholi and Bassam Musbah.
In the meantime, Israeli army
units broke into the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, and arrested two
Palestinians, identified as Harbi Daajneh and Ahmad Daajneh.
The Israeli authorities have arrested 1545 Palestinians
since the beginning of 2015 year, reported Abdel Nasser Ferwana the director of
the Bureau of Statistics in the commission of detainees' affairs.
The rate of arrests since
January till April is 9.6% which exceeds the rate documented for the same
period last year, said Ferwana.
A total of 258 Palestinian
under the age of 18 are among the arrested in addition to 77 Palestinians
women, the statement reported.
