HEBRON,
December 8, 2014 – (WAFA) – Israeli forces arrested early Monday and Sunday
evening 14 Palestinians and summoned two others from West Bank districts,
including one arrest in Jerusalem, said security sources.
In
Hebron district, Forces arrested Raed al-Muhtaseb, 26, Muhammad, 25, and Tareq
Abu Hussein, 25, as well as brothers Bilal, 25, and Hamza Abu Hussein, 24,
after breaking into and ransacking their houses in the city.
They
also raided a shari‘a court in the Old City, where they arrested Ibrahim al-Khatib,
23, while he was signing his matrimony contract.
Meanwhile, army raided the town of Halhul, to the north of the city, where they arrested Anas Abu
Rayyan, 24, after breaking into and ransacking his family’s house.
They
also raided Idhna and Yatta, to the southwest and south of the city, and set up
roadblocks at the northern entrance of Hebron as well as at the entrances of
Sa‘ir and Halhul, where they stopped vehicles with Palestinian registration
plates traveling along the way and examined passengers’ ID cards.
Meanwhile
in Nablus, forces raided ‘Askar refugee camp, where they arrested As‘ad Abu
al-Hasan, 20, after breaking into and ransacking his family’s house.
They
also raided Balata refugee camp, where they arrested Yazan Ishtayyeh, 21, and
Mujahed Khalil, 22, after breaking into and ransacking their families’ houses.
Meanwhile
in Jenin district, forces raided Qabatiya to the south of the city, where they
arrested Oday Abu al-Rub, 21, and Shadi Zakarna, 27, after breaking into their
family’s house.
Meanwhile
in Jerusalem district, Israeli police arrested Umm Radwan ‘Amr at one of the
gates leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound.
Umm
Radwan ‘Amr, who gives religious lectures inside the compound, was arrested
after she along with other women expressed their objection to storming the
compound by a group of settlers.
In
the meantime in Bethlehem district, forces raided Dheisheh refugee camp to the
south of the city, where they handed Muhammad Manasra, 29, and Mahmoud Sha‘fut,
34, notices to appear before the intelligence after breaking into and
ransacking their houses.
Meanwhile
in Qalqilya district, soldiers stationed at a flying checkpoint near the city
stopped and arrested Sunday evening former prisoner Ahmad al-Ra‘i, 54. Al-Ra‘i had been detained
and imprisoned for about 10 years in Israeli jails.
