GAZA, May 25, 2025 (WAFA) – Palestinian journalist Hassan Majdi Abu Warda and several members of his family were killed on Sunday morning when Israeli warplanes targeted their home in the Jabalia al-Nazla neighborhood, in northern Gaza.

WAFA correspondent, citing medical sources, confirmed the casualties following the strike, which is part of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip that has spared nothing since October 2023.

With Abu Warda’s murder, the number of journalists killed since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, has risen to more than 221. Hundreds of others have been injured or detained during the same period.

The ongoing Israeli aggression has so far resulted in at least 53,901 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 122,593 others injured.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
