DAVOS, January 21, 2026 (WAFA) — Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met on Wednesday with Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, in the presence of Palestine’s ambassador to Switzerland and the United Nations in Geneva, Ibrahim Khraishi.
Mustafa expressed his thanks and appreciation to Luxembourg for its continued support and firm stance in upholding justice, particularly its recognition of the State of Palestine during the New York Conference on the Two-state Solution.
He briefed Prime Minister Frieden on the latest developments on the ground in the Palestinian territory, reviewing ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire, and efforts to expand settlements, annex the West Bank, and undermine the foundations of the Palestinian economy.
Frieden expressed deep regret over the suffering endured by the Palestinian people due to the ongoing Israeli aggression both in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
He reaffirmed Luxembourg’s support for peace efforts and for the realization of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, and expressed his country’s readiness to provide support for reconstruction efforts.
