RAMALLAH, October 22, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohamed Mustafa discussed with Thomas Rofekamp, Chairman of the Defense Committee in the German Parliament, the latest developments in Palestine, particularly regarding the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and recovery and reconstruction plans.
During his reception of Rofekamp at his office in Ramallah on Wednesday, in the presence of Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Stephan Salameh, the Prime Minister emphasized that what is required is more than a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
He further said moving forward toward a comprehensive and a lasting end to the war, recovery, and reconstruction, leading to the realization of the two-state solution and peace and stability in Palestine and the region as a whole.
Prime Minister reviewed the executive program of the Arab Plan for Recovery and Reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, supported by the European Union and the New York Declaration. The plan includes 56 programs covering 18 sectors and distributed across hundreds of projects.
He praised Germany's efforts and its great interest in participating in this regard, as well as its continued support for the State of Palestine.
For his part, Rofekamp affirmed his country's firm position on the two-state solution, which represents the path to stability, peace, and security in the region. He also emphasized continued support for the government's efforts in its development and institutional reform program, and the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the two countries in many areas of common interest.
