RAMALLAH, October 21, 2025 (WAFA) – The Government of Palestine expresses its deep appreciation to the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for officially approving €30 million in support for the State of Palestine, an amount initially announced on the sidelines of the International Emergency Coalition for the Financial Sustainability of the Palestinian National Authority, launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on September 26.
In a first-of-its-kind move, the Budget Committee of the German Bundestag (Parliament) formally approved the funding, which will soon be transferred through the European Union’s PEGASE mechanism.
According to a statement by the Government Communication Center, the Palestinian Government views this support as a significant contribution to strengthening the State of Palestine and a renewed expression of confidence in the Government’s institutional development agenda.
The Government of Palestine extends its sincere gratitude to the Government of Germany, particularly Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Reem Alabali Radovan, for this vital support that comes amid extraordinary circumstances and a severe financial blockade, marked by Israel’s continued full withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues for the fifth consecutive month, now exceeding 12 billion shekels.
