RAMALLAH, October 19, 2025 (WAFA) - The overall Wholesale Price Index in Palestine during the third quarter of 2025 recorded an increase of 4.10% compared with the second quarter of 2025, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The increase is due to the rise in locally consumed products by 6.95% and imported products by 2.33%. This is attributed to the increase in the Gaza Strip price level as a result of the Israeli aggression against the Strip, as the Strip's goods constitute 17% of the total basket of wholesale goods and services.
The changes in WPI for the Third Quarter of 2025 were traced back to changes in prices of the following division and category compared with the previous quarter:
