BETHLEHEM, September 9, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists set up a tent on Wednesday on Palestinian-owned land belonging to the village of Rashaydeh, east of Bethlehem.
The head of the Rashaydeh village council, Bakr Rashaydeh, told WAFA correspondent that dozens of colonists set up the tent near the western entrance to the village, raising concerns that an illegal settlement outpost could be established at the site.
He noted that colonists have recently escalated their attacks against residents in the Kisan area, including assaults on homes, attacks on shepherds, and the theft of sheep.
