RAMALLAH, October 12, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and the European Union Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Christophe Bigot, discussed intensifying joint action and greater engagement in the preparations for the next phase following the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
During the meeting, held today, at the Prime Minister's Office in Ramallah, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of international support for the State of Palestine's efforts to unify institutions between the West Bank and Gaza Strip to complete the process of establishing a Palestinian state on the ground.]
He also stressed the importance of pressuring Israel to release withheld Palestinian funds and halt attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
Bigot affirmed the European Union's support for relief, recovery, and reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip, the resumption of the Rafah Crossing Mission's work, and the government's efforts in reform and institutional development.
