RAMALLAH, August 28, 2025 (WAFA) – During his meeting with the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Cindy McCain at his office in Ramallah on Thursday, Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa discussed ways to intensify relief efforts in the Gaza Strip, in light of new warnings of displacement due to the ongoing aggression and starvation in the Strip.
They also discussed the importance of continuing international pressure to stop the war and open all crossings for the entry of relief and humanitarian aid.
Mustafa and McCain discussed cooperation in implementing urgent relief immediately after the cessation of hostilities, as part of the reconstruction and recovery plan for the Gaza Strip, which includes 56 detailed programs prepared in cooperation with international partners.
The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the WFP in supporting the government's efforts to provide relief to Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
For her part, McCain affirmed the need to exert all efforts and exert pressure to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, open all crossings, and allow unlimited aid to be delivered fairly and ensure it reaches those in need.
