GAZA, September 17, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll from the war of extermination waged by Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,821, and 174,897 others were injured since October 7, 2023.
Medical sources reported that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received five slain people—including two who succumbed to previously sustained wounds—and 28 new injury cases over the past 24 hours.
The sources indicated that the total number of fatalities since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 1,386, with 4,784 injuries recorded, while the total number of bodies recovered stands at 831.
They noted that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulance and rescue crews are unable to reach them.
