JERUSALEM, September 17, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation bulldozers demolished five residential structures and a sheep pen today, Thursday, in the Wa'r al-Beik area of ​​the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem. The structures belonged to five brothers from the Jahalin family.

This action follows the distribution of demolition notices by occupation authorities in the area weeks ago, citing construction without a permit.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the structures belonged to the brothers Musa, Yousef, Jibril, Ahmed, and Omar—the sons of Mohammed Suleiman Jahalin.

It added that occupation forces assaulted residents during the demolition operation and prevented them from removing their belongings and the contents of the structures prior to the demolition.

The Governorate further explained that the occupation bulldozers destroyed the structures along with their contents—including electrical appliances, furniture, clothing, and personal items—resulting in the families losing a significant portion of their property.

Approximately 30 residents lived in the targeted structures; the demolition has left them homeless and resulted in the loss of the sheep pen.
