RAMALLAH, July 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met on Wednesday with the newly appointed UN Deputy Special Coordinator Ramiz Alakbarov in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.
Prime Minister Mustafa briefed the Deputy Special Coordinator at the UN Office of the Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO), Alakbarov, on the recent developments on the Palestinian arena in light of the ongoing Israeli genocidal aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has killed 58,573 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 139,607 others, and attacks by the occupation forces and colonists in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
He highlighted the need to reinforce coordination and double relief efforts in Gaza as well as commence reconstruction once the aggression ends.
He voiced appreciation to the United Nations institutions, especially UNRWA, for their pivotal role in providing relief to Gaza, as well as other efforts in the West Bank.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Estephan Salameh and Minister of Social Development Samah Hamad.
