PM Mustafa discusses regional developments and efforts to end Israeli war on Gaza with Greek FM

RAMALLAH, June 20, 2025 (WAFA) - Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa discussed on Friday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Giorgos Gerapetritis, recent developments and the escalating situation in the region, as well as the worsening situation in the occupied Palestinian Territory, particularly the ongoing Israeli genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The discussion focused on the urgent need to intensify efforts to end the war, resume the entry of humanitarian aid, and halt the deepening famine in Gaza.

During a phone call, Prime Minister Mustafa emphasized the importance of maintaining international focus on the situation in Palestine—especially in Gaza—and warned of the shifting of global attention. He also highlighted the severe impact of the continued financial blockade and Israel’s withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues, which is impeding the Government’s ability to fulfill its obligations to the Palestinian people.

The discussion further addressed the importance of enhanced coordination to create the conditions necessary for convening the International Peace Conference, reaffirming that launching a serious and credible political process toward the realization of the independent Palestinian state is the only viable path to achieving lasting regional stability and security.
