GAZA, May 30, 2025 (WAFA) – The death toll arising from the ongoing Israeli genocidal aggression on the Gaza Strip surged to 54,321 people, medical sources said on Friday.
They announced that the death toll and the toll of casualties as a result of the Israeli genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip, which started on October 7, 2023, rose to 54,321 and 123,770, respectively.
They added that since Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, it has killed 4,058 and injured 11,729 others.
In the last 24 hours, the bodies of 72 slain Palestinians and 278 casualties were admitted to hospitals in the Strip, noting that these numbers exclude the fatalities and casualties in the northern Strip due to inaccessibility.
Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
