JENIN, September 21, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces today began installing iron gates at the entrances to several villages, towns, and junctions across Jenin governorate, restricting Palestinian movement in the area.
Local sources told WAFA that the forces were installing gates at the entrances to the villages and towns of al-Jalama, Arrana, the Jenin Industrial Zone, Deir Abu Da'if, the entrance to Jenin city, Aba, Umm al-Tut, Qabatiya, the Arab American University, and Zababda.
Tareq Eghbariya, the Jenin governorate official responsible for the settlement file, warned of the repercussions of the closures and gates, saying they restrict residents' movement between villages and towns and disrupt their daily lives and livelihoods.
