RAMALLAH, Saturday, May 13, 2023 (WAFA) – The Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein Al-Sheikh, said today that the Palestinian leadership is conducting intensive contacts to immediately stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
"The Palestinian leadership is engaged in intensive contacts with the Arab brethren and the U.S. administration to immediately stop the [Israeli aggression on Gaza,” Al-Sheikh said in a tweet.
Al-Sheikh pointed out that the Palestinian leadership is trying to push for an end to the Israeli policy of targeted assassinations, and to press Israel to stop its devastating war against the Palestinian people.
For the firth day in a row, the Israeli occupation has been launching an aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip from the air, sea and land, claiming the lives of 33 people and injuring more than 160 others so far, the majority of whom are children and women.
The Israeli aggression has also caused massive destruction to property, sites and agricultural lands in the besieged Gaza Strip.
