RAMALLAH, September 22, 2026 (WAFA) - Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh on Tuesday called for international intervention to protect the Palestinian people against ethnic cleansing.

Vice President Al Sheikh stated that the Israeli occupation government is turning Palestinian cities, villages and refugee camps into mass concentration camps for Palestinians through the installation of iron gates and checkpoints and the uprooting of olive trees across hundreds of dunams.

He called on the United Nations, currently in session, to announce a series of measures and resolutions to protect the Palestinian people and compel Israel, the occupying power, to halt all of its measures.

He stressed that statements would not alone stop the occupation's crimes, saying what is needed is supporting and strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their homeland and adopting firm and deterrent measures to curb the occupation's escalation, racism and crimes.
